Well, you can’t get much closer than right across the street! Parking in their garage was very easy and $29 seems very fair to me, especially given that we could come and go as we wanted. We were in town to see a show at The Fox and I wanted to be close enough to walk to the theater. It was like a date.enjoyed the evening but not enough to ask the person out again on a date. The location is excellent across the street from the Fox Theatre in the heart of midtown Atlanta. The concept is not well thought out, and it lacks amenities that business travelers are used to. Would I stay at an Indigo again? I'm not convinced. They were outgoing and in the morning helpful offering complimentary coffee to guest. What made up for this lack of attention to detail was the friendly front desk staff. The wake up call came on time, but sadly with the wrong date (on Tuesday, Feb. Two small elevators exist where guest compete with hotel staff trying to clean room and perform maintenance. The lobby is hip and funky, a small bar/dining room with a limited menu. A nice touch was a late afternoon call from the hotel manager asking if everything was all right. The phone in the room was dirty, and it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in some time. There wasn't a lot of attention to detail. There were two small plastic glasses for drinking, cheap towels in the bathroom, nice Aveda lotions/shampoos, but I wanted to do a cleaning on the room and bathroom. I liked the in room coffee maker, but I could tell that this property doesn't cater to a business clientele. It was somewhat modern, somewhat clean and fairly well equipped.

The room was on the smaller side, and I knew the bathrooms were quite tiny. I was given a nice corner room with a good view. One guest was far from happy and said loudly that he was sorry he had prepaid or he would have walked. No concessions or vast apologies were offered for the delays.

Finally someone appeared asking us to come forward and to go through the registration all over again to get a room. I noticed by looking around the lobby that I wasn't the only business person waiting. When I asked how long, I was told "30 minutes to 45 minutes". I got off to a rocky start on arrival at 2:30P, when I was greeted by a desk clerk telling me "rooms are not ready". It was great to see how new life had been breathed into an old property, and it was made to look "hip and happening". I know the property well, since as an Atlanta native and kid, I stayed there at the old Cox Carlton hotel with my parents. As a business person, I wasn't sure I was the right demographic, but I booked a room for two nights at the Atlanta midtown location. Since I'm a member of IHG Club, I decided to give the Indigo brand of Intercontinental a try.
